The $1.9 trillion stimulus package does extraordinarily little to help working families who lost their jobs because of government-forced closures and customer limitations. One-to-one unemployment benefits would make perfect sense during the pandemic. The government — not the virus — took away jobs and the government needs to provide fair compensation for that act.
