The Washington Post is back with its rankings of possible 2024 presidential contenders for the Democratic Party, and that’s not good for Vice President Kamala Harris. Why? Well, the Bezos-owned publication kicked her to the curb in order to promote former Indiana Mayor turned Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
Buttigieg has been repeatedly noted as a rising star among the Democrats. He would be the first man married to man to serve in the nation’s highest office. It also helps the left that he can give a speech without making a fool of himself, unlike both President Biden and Vice President Harris.
With Biden and Harris both struggling mightily in approval ratings, even in their own party, the Post has turned to other alternatives for options. But the list is almost as odd as it is unexpected. Some of the names are almost unrecognizable among most Americans, leaving readers wondering who made this list, and what does that fact say about the Democratic Party?!
The biggest eye opener about this article is the promotion of Biden-Harris alternatives for 2024. There should be no question about who will run in 2024 for Democrats with an incumbent in the White House. But this article shows there’s a large number of Democrats ready to jump ship from both leaders to embrace a new star.
