Missouri Republican Rep. Jason Smith is out with a new interview blasting the Biden blame-game administration that continues to use Russian President Vladimir Putin as the reason for high gas prices.
Smith notes the big concern now is that the left is saying they’ll support Ukraine as “long as it takes” to get Russia out of its country, now talking about years instead of weeks or months.
That’s bad news for Americans when it comes to high prices—especially gas prices. Not because Biden cut off oil from Russia, but because it will continue to be Biden’s excuse for doing nothing to fix these exorbitant gas prices.
He’s scheduled to head to Saudi Arabia this month to beg for more production, but it will only make a small dent in the problem Biden has created. Americans are more than ready to bring back the $2 per gallon prices we had during Trump’s leadership, which is a big fear for Biden as he anticipates Trump’s 2024 comeback bid.
But it’s not just about gas prices. Inflation and high prices of all kinds are now being blamed on Putin, even though it all began earlier in Biden’s term. You can’t blame Trump now for Biden’s problems, but Americans can certainly hope for a Trump rebound that includes prices that don’t give sticker shock at the pump.

We can’t afford, much less find, an AFFORDABLE electric vehicle without going into personal bankruptcy. It isn’t just that electric cars are EXPENSIVE. They are, right now, impractical. You must have a place to charge them – not easy if you live in an apt. or townhome or anything but a single family dwelling. If you have your own garage, you still have to an electrician to put a charger in your garage’ that will probably cost several hundred dollars. If you plan to go very far in your electric car, you have to be very aware of where you are going to get your next charge – plan ahead. If the next charging station is very far, you may have to watch your Kw usage to get the next charging station. You may not be able to run your radio, A/C, or windshield wipers at the same time. You have to pay for your charge – it may be less than the current prices for gasoline, but it is an additional charge for your transportation. And, don’t forget that while your car is sitting, it is losing its charge. If you need a car for anything but a fairly short commute to and from work (and if you want to stop on your way home to pick up the kids, go to the grocery, or the dry cleaner, etc., you must consider how much of a charge you will have left at the end of your work day – unless your employer provides charging stations for every electric car its employees own), an electric car is currently not very practical. Has anyone on the Left actually thought this through? They tend not to think past the ends of their noses. I am all for clean energy and I believe that eventually, electric cars will be practical. Right now, they are not. So, doesn’t it make sense to drill for our own oil until we have the ability to produce reasonably priced electric cars and we have the infrastructure to support them? This isn’t rocket science. We could be in a place where more than 1/2 of the populace could afford and practically use electric cars in a few years. But, we are not yet there.

Well biden certainly cut off our ability to produce and sell our oil, he put harsh restrictions on oil leases, making it impossible to drill. He is now giving OUR STRATEGIC OIL RESERVES TO CHINA??
