Actor Michael Rapaport watched in disbelief as a shoplifter stole items from a New York City Rite Aid. He took a video that has now become popular online that showed the brazen theft as the criminal casually strolled out and continued his day.
“Can’t believe I’m seeing this s***,” Rapaport said on the video. And that was just the start. Warning, this video includes some strong language as the actor loses control over the ridiculous scene playing out in front of him.
The shoplifter walked right past a security guard who did nothing to stop him. Why is the security guard even there?
Sadly, the incident is among a growing number of shoplifting crimes growing across the country. With New York’s new radical District Attorney who doesn’t want to prosecute many crimes, shoplifting will continue to become the norm.
But didn’t the new Mayor of NYC, Eric Adams, say he was going to get tough on crime? Well, maybe tough for a Democrat, but that’s not going to be enough to stop the surge in crime in Democrat controlled cities. The city needs some serious course correction to stop crime, and Rapaport’s video has pulled back the curtain for all to see.
