One of the most shameful things happening in the country right now that is not getting enough press coverage is the impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
For those who don’t know, Paxton’s office single-handedly stopped the Democrat Party from implementing mass mail-in ballots and drop boxes in the 12 largest cities in Texas in 2020.
Paxton is embroiled in an impeachment trial based on fuzzy accusations of corruption. The real reason why he’s being impeached is because he defeated George P. Bush (the oldest son of Jeb!) in the Republican primary in 2022 for Attorney General. Paxton defeated Bush by a Liz Cheney-esque margin of 68% to 32%.
The powerful Bush dynasty was embarrassed by this, so Bush family loyalists have cooked up these fake corruption charges to remove Paxton from office. We say the charges are fake because it’s not even close.
Paxton’s attorney is a guy named Tony Buzbee and we have to tell you—this guy is hilarious! Trials are usually boring to try to sit through, but the way that Buzbee has mowed down all of the accusations made by Ken Paxton’s accusers is a sight to behold.
In this clip, Buzbee exposes the fact that one of Paxton’s main accusers doesn’t even believe in the garbage that he forwarded to the FBI. Every time that Buzbee cross-examines one of the witnesses in this trial, it goes just like this.
