The conservative majority over at the Supreme Court has just delivered a massive win to the American people – putting an end to affirmative action in college admissions.
Universities had been very openly discriminating against certain races – mainly Whites and Asians – in their admissions processes which was apparently done to focus on “equity.”
But the Supreme Court just ruled that colleges—specifically Harvard University which was a defendant in the suit—can NO LONGER discriminate against any race – noting that by doing this universities were violating the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution.
“The student must be treated based on his or her experiences as an individual – not on the basis of race,” the Court’s opinion reads.
“Many universities have for far too long done just the opposite. And in doing so, they have concluded wrongly, that the touchstone of an individual’s identity is not challenges bested, skills built, or lessons learned but the color of their skin.”
The opinion concludes, “Our constitutional history does not tolerate that choice.”
Leftists, like those that dominate the indoctrination camps known as colleges, have been trampling all over the constitution for years as they spread their hatred under the guise of “leveling the playing field.”
This decision by the court, however, suggests that this will no longer be allowed to happen
It’s very possible that this could be just the first in a series of massive decisions made by the court to reverse the left-wing destruction of America!
