The politicization of the coronavirus is a weird thing. Certainly, it was predictable. The despicable extremists in the media will politicize anything and everything to push their agenda. That doesn’t change the fact that it’s strange to politicize a virus. They’re really trying to tell us that the proliferation of a virus is up to politicians. They really think you’re stupid enough to believe that.
A really good example of this is with the politicization of the drug hydroxychloroquine. This is a drug that has been around for decades, since the 1960’s. It is thoroughly tested and extremely well-understood. As an antiviral, a lot of doctors were willing to experiment with it to see if it could help with treating the coronavirus. Many of those doctors saw success, and President Trump made note of that.
The anti-Trump media jumped on President Trump’s mention of the drug and began a campaign to discredit him in order to try to make him look bad. They fabricated a study that suggested it was killing people. That study has since been formally retracted. They demonized a doctor who publicized her own experience in treating more than 300 patients successfully. They have squashed every study that shows the success of this drug. It’s weird. They’re going after a drug because they think it will make President Trump look bad. There’s no sense to it.
