Students Reject Critical Race Theory After Learning What It’s Really About

Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson visited George Washington University to ask if students knew what Critical Race Theory (CRT) was and if they agreed with some of its basic principles.

When Jacobson asked if students knew what CRT was, all of them said they were unfamiliar with the details of the theory. Jacobson then went on to describe three basic principles derived from Critical Race Theory:

  1. Race is the most important thing about you. 2. Race, rather than merit, should be the main hiring factor. 3. Racism is present in every single interaction.

Jacobson noted students disagreed with all the statements and admitted this type of education should not be taught in colleges nor should it be taught to students in K-12 schools.

 

Jacobson asked students if they believed this was what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. envisioned for the United States of America. “No,” one student said. “If you fixate on it so much to the point that you see nothing else than the other human being, then obviously that counters the type of activism he was trying to do.”

Jacobson’s interviews revealed a major disconnect between what people believe and what progressives continue to push on the nation.

  2. CRT is something only a criminal would believe or benefit from! Just as those BLM founder who took the money and purchased 4 million dollars home! Their idea is NOT TO HELP BLACK FAMILY but to make themselves WEALTHY OFF POOR PEOPLE! Just as the liberal try pushing the 1619 fake history! By getting the media, Hollywood black to help! Let history tell you or show you AMERICA was not found at that time! It was lot of other country involved in searching out this country! Not knowing what they have found!

    1. 1619 was something you would call looking for a NEW WORLD! French, England, Spain, Indian all where here! Everybody had prisoners or slave they captured. No laws was established yet! Just laws they knew from their old country! Sure there were the colony but not what you think! Just small village of people. Only book they used to teach their children was THE BIBLE! Different race of people here. Some came by the way of slave TRADE MADE IN AFRICA ! By tribe king for FOOD! Why not it was in the history America used in 1975! But since liberals socialism and communist didn’t like the history book talking about COMMUNIST SOCIALIST COUNTRY LIKE RUSSIA AND THEIR WAY OF LIFE! Book kept getting change to replace history that was truth! To please these communists who left their home country! But why come to America if you miss your own birthplace? Go back and figure out how to improve the quality of life! Same to those blacks who think they were force to come to America! Go back to Africa! If you think that you belong there! But just remember the SLAVERY SELLING IS STILL GOING ON IN AFRICA! Only this time it the MUSLIMS BROTHERHOOD WHO ARE BUYING THEM!

The struggle against racism and America’s “original sin,” as Rush Limbaugh defined it, has shaped and molded our country in myriad ways and provoked much anguish, war, and many deaths for all our people. THE 1776 REPORT, by Hillsdale College President, Larry Arnn, is the definitive history of this and explains how the evil of slavery was fought as a moral issue, with education based upon morals as fundamental. This starts by teaching “all Americans are equal members of one national community.” I would add, “Out of many, ONE! It hasn’t been an easy road, however, there has been a lot of growth despite all the pain. We must focus on our shared humanity.

  4. Well good for them! Maybe in some cases Mom and Pops didn’t waste their ‘red sports car money’ paying their tuition. We try to raise our children and grand-children to believe in their potential and inculcate within them a work ethic so that they can be successful and independent as adults.

  5. Let get down to the truth! I’m not sure if people know what the truth is! But everytime there a ELECT who ever is running in the democrats party use lies and their LOBBYISTS dig up people past! So does that make them the JUDGE OF OTHER? Why not DIG UP JOE BIDEN AND NANCY PELOSI PAST? We know they were part of the KKK! But not one media will publish it! Because of the MONEY THEY RECEIVED! But they will put it down AGAINST A REPUBLICANS CANDIDATE! Who made them the JUDGE? EVERY LIVING PERSON has a sin they hope nobody find out! But don’t count on the MEDIA NOT DIGGING!

  6. CRT as presented is not as simplistic as the three basic principles described in this article. It covers the history of slavery as it relates to social authority in the early years of the colonies and early years of this nation. It categories ethnicity into separate social statuses of the oppressed and the favored. In that summation of segmentation it leaves students with feelings of resentment, hatred or arrogance and humiliation. CRT was created by elderly scholastic educators and elderly educated activists who created this theory of Critical Race Theory based upon their lives experiences and what they perceive was the cause to racial ambiguities in society. CRT should not be taught at the lower public education level but rather as a historical theological concept of the past at a college level. This theory is not valid today. It may have been valid within the past 50 years but today even with Biden’s advocacy of progressive racism it does not hold true.
