Senator Chuck Schumer Does an about Face on Reopening Schools: “If You Don’t Open Up the Schools, You’re Going to Hurt the Economy”

Is everyone else curious about the internal polling numbers that the Democrat Party must be seeing on certain issues? Just moments ago, Democrats were claiming that schools cannot be reopened this month because of coronavirus. In fact, the only way to make schools safe from coronavirus is to defund the police. Oh, and even if the police are defunded, they still can’t open schools safely until there’s a safe and working vaccine.

Plus, we have to keep paying teachers their same full-time salaries while they’re not teaching because REASONS.

That was the Democrat Party’s position on reopening schools until about five minutes ago. Never mind the fact that there have been multiple studies proving that healthy children under the age of 10 are not even affected by the Chinese coronavirus. They don’t show symptoms, they don’t have to go to the hospital, they don’t even know they’re sick and they actually don’t spread the virus around to others (such as teachers).

But whatever! You and your “science” and “math” don’t understand how the education system in America really works during an election year, obviously! It’s all about the kids. Which explains why none of the teachers’ union demands for reopening schools have nothing to do with coronavirus.

Well, those internal polling numbers that the Democrats are seeing about schools remaining closed must be… very interesting. Why? Because the Democrats suddenly have a new position on schools and coronavirus.

As usual, their principals shifted on a dime. Watch this video to see the sudden new standard on schools reopening amid the pandemic, courtesy of shifty Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
