One of Donald Trump Jr.’s small businesses got de-banked this week. Don Jr. had started a news aggregate app that you may have heard about. It’s called MxM and it’s available for smartphones in both the Google Play store and whatever Apple’s thing is called.
Trump’s business partner was surprised to find that their business account had suddenly been zeroed out the other day. They initially thought maybe they’d been hacked. But it turns out that PNC Bank had simply closed out their account without telling them.
The app itself is pretty innocuous. It aggregates news stories from liberal and conservative news outlets. You can find stuff from the New York Times and from the Gateway Pundit on it. So, this wasn’t about the contents of the app.
We all know what it was. PNC Bank decided to shut Donald Trump Jr.’s business down because it belongs to Donald Trump Jr. That’s it.
This behavior by the banks lately is just out of control, and frankly, it’s getting kind of scary. The way financial institutions are treating people because of their political beliefs is awful – and it needs to stop.

Let’s see… How many people are Trump fans? How many of these people do banking every day? How many of these folks use that particular bank? Looks to me like this bank may have just signed it’s own death warrant, ya think? Closing someone’s account without any notice is not only wrong but probably illegal as well. I would definitely not want to piss off a Trump, especially when he or she has the law to back them up. Also not a good look for your business model. Just saying…
YES…this is an old Liberal Trick to “starve an account” so that they can assert you were erased because of some breach of non-existent ethics code. “Your app does not meet your stated purpose, and was expired upon review.”

It is only going to get worse with the “Digital Bank Program” that is being tested by the “9 biggest Banks!. Rumors are that it will go live sometime in May. They can/will confiscate your money if they do not like what you bought. I am trying to find maybe a Credit Union.

I have banked with Credit Unions for decades. Everything I changed Duty Stations I would find a good CU as my local bank. My house, my car and other loans were also covered by CUs. You are a member of a community and it shows.

I had an incident with PNC Bank over an unsecure loan. It’s a long story that I won’t get into, but they lost, and I won big. If they we’re the last bank on the planet I wouldn’t use them, for me it’s credit unions only, they treat everybody the same.
It would be wise for everyone to consider boycotting FB also; I’ve had real problems with them over my 14-year account that they won’t recover for me when it was hacked and stolen. Yes, all my personal & business stuff is on there, but the hacker changed the name on the account, this happened last November 2022.
What is happening to this country is unbelievable. I have never in my lifetime (92 yrs) seen anything that resembles what is going on right now in this country. If someone had told me this was going to happen, I would have sworn they were lying.. I think sometimes, we need to do away with both parties, have people vote for whoever they think will do the best job. If they do the job, fire them and getsomeone else to do the job. Honest politicians are gone forever.
