“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .” That is the very beginning of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. It leads the entire Bill of Rights.
It’s first because it is what the founders cared about the most. Congress is expressly and wholly prohibited from restricting the religious freedom of anyone in this country.
Despite the beliefs of the Democratic Party, the 1st Amendment applies to Supreme Court Justices too. When they attack the faith of judicial nominees and suggest that Christian faith disqualifies a Justice from serving, they are violating the very most important line in the entire Constitution. It is an outright betrayal of the oaths they took when assuming office.
We’ve seen this before, and it’s happening again. The Democrats are attacking Judge Amy Coney Barrett because she openly believes in the Christian God. They are trying to disqualify her from judicial service for practicing her religion. There is no other way to put it.
Thankfully, these monster Democrats aren’t fully in control. There are members of Congress like Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri who stand up for justice and freedom. In this video, he sets the room ablaze with his commitment to freedom. It’s a beautiful thing to see, but you should maintain a sense of caution when you watch this video. The Democrats are not hiding the ball. They have no interest in your religious freedoms. In fact, they don’t value your freedom at all. To them, it is a hindrance to their ability to seize and maintain power. Never forget that.

Nicely stated. I am glad that at least one senator actually knows the constitution – seems like the left ignores it completely and the right side is little better. We the American people as a whole have been far to tolerant of what politicians have been doing to us. We never gave congress the right to give themselves full pay pensions. Nor did we give them the right to exempt themselves from laws they pass for “others”. Did any of us get a vote on whether or not they got premium healthcare? How about all the other perks they give themselves. And, let us not forget that when they put term limits on the president (a good decision) they conveniently didn’t give themselves term limits. For the same reason as the executive branch, they should have term limits. Politics was never meant to be a career. It was a chance to serve your country and then go back to work as usual. I’m right there with you. We had a silver tongued president and he brought our country to it’s knees. We don’t need another snake oil salesman, now it’s time for Dirty Harry, who gets things done. We need him for another 4 years and afterwards more like him in their quest to make us the best country in the world again. We are truly a country of freedoms – but beware, we have let many of our freedoms be taken away from us (for our own good of course). Used to be you could fish without a license, buy a gun without a license, etc, let alone get taxed to death. Yes, we need taxes; however, the government should not be a charity. Charity is for the churches and the charities who choose to do so with voluntary donations. We don’t need to be taxed so high if we let the states and charities do their work. We are not as free as we once were, but we can, if motivated, be sure they don’t take any more of our liberties away from us.
I am so proud of Josh Hawley for not only knowing what was going on with this committee but being brave enough to call out the bigotry and attempt to smear the judge because of her faith. We need more like him. I will vote based on my convictions and I hope the silent majority are also. ACB is well qualified and should be approved to the Supreme Court of the United Stares.

The U.S. Constitution does give us a way to fix this problem. I’ve been saying for over a year or close to that, that our representatives need to use the Article 1 Section 5 Clause 2 to remove these anti-U.S. representatives. Those representatives have given repeated reasons to remove them. Just yesterday I told Rep. Scalises’ team that this needs to be done. They can easily start with Pelosi, Schiff and Schumer. Do the right thing. Do it. If they don’t want to then they themselves are the problem.

What scares the heck out of me is that two old female Senators are more interested in SEX and/or RELIGION than they are about the law. What would their comments be, if trying for a job, and they were asked the exact questions that they were asking the candidate for the position of a Judge of the Supreme Court?
