Ouch! Minnesota Democratic congresswoman and Squad member Ilhan Omar was booed relentlessly at a music festival over the weekend in her own district.
The action shows that even among people from her own background (the music festival featured mostly Somali acts) and in her own district, Omar’s leftist, radical agenda is highly opposed. Her regular attacks on America and its freedoms shows she is more likely to criticize the nation she serves rather than help make it better.
The booing may not be the end of the push back against Omar. She faces a strong primary challenge, both from her own party and from Republicans.
Even many Democrats in her district oppose Omar’s anti-law enforcement rhetoric that includes efforts to defund the police. It’s possible she might even lose her seat this November! Along with other Squad members like Cori Bush (D-MO) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), the tide is shifting against the loudest leftist voices as Democratic policies continue to damage America’s communities.
