Pollster Jim McLaughlin shares details on President Biden’s approval ratings decline since he’s been in office in a segment with “Wake Up America” on Newsmax.
McLaughlin jokingly begins by saying Biden’s ratings are doing about as well as the New York Giants football team right now. In other words, it’s pretty bad. He observed that even though Obama had a bad midterm and then later won a second term, Biden’s ratings have tanked way earlier.
Another contrast noted about the midterms is that when Obama was in the White House, Democrats lost power when 17 members did not run for reelection. This time, the number is already 25, with a few more perhaps to go.
Republicans will clearly win the House in November, but the Senate is less certain. It may come down to Georgia once again, where Herschel Walker is running for the GOP. But it’s a good year for Georgia, at least when it comes to Walker’s Bulldogs who won the national championship, so maybe we’ll see change in the Senate for conservatives as well.
Overall, Biden is -11 in ratings, below Obama and anyone else in recent history. There’s more to it, but you’ll have to watch the video to get the details of the huge drop that’s making people question whether Biden will even run again in 2024.
