President Joe Biden criticized former President Donald Trump for his travel bans at the start of Covid, but now White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is struggling to defend the White House’s new travel ban of South Africa and other nations over the new Omicron variant.
What’s the difference? Psaki blamed Trump’s tweets. But Biden’s attack wasn’t just against Trump’s Twitter posts. He was against the move to limit Chinese travel. Yet Biden has no trouble making similar limits on African nations. Is he racist when he does it?
Not according to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. She wants to put the questions into “full context,” which basically means Biden changed his mind and doesn’t want to put up with any questions about his past views.
It’s not like we expect to see Biden answer questions on the issue anytime soon, either. Even if he did, we would probably find ourselves struggling through another Biden nonsense gaffe rather than getting any clear answers regarding his recent travel ban decision.
