When the border wall was constructed in San Diego, illegal crossings dropped by more than 90 percent. Crime in the area plummeted. Drug use went down. Human trafficking went down. Everything was better. But, according to the left, walls don’t work. This wall was constructed long before President Trump took office, by the way.
During President Trump’s term, new walls were constructed in a number of places. One of the most notable is Sunland Park, New Mexico. The wall there reduced illegal traffic into the United States by about 1400 incidents per day. Read that again. Do you remember those giant caravans that crossed into our country every year for the last decade? This one wall in Sunland Park basically shut all of that down.
Now, New Mexico has only one gap left on the border. There is one more half-mile stretch that, if closed, would make our border throughout New Mexico significantly more secure. Joe Biden just stopped construction because according to him, walls are racist.
Unfortunately, this is only one of many policies he has already enacted that is hurting our country. It’s going to get a lot worse, and it’s happening very quickly.
