The tide is turning in the culture war for America, and the left is struggling to come to terms with what exactly that means for them.
In a perfect example of that, a New York Times writer recently complained about the fact that left-wing comedians are failing to attract meaningful audiences while their conservative counterparts are experiencing massive success.
Author and professor Tressie McMillan Cottom referenced a number of late-night left-leaning talk shows that have been shut down due to dismal viewership numbers as Americans have grown tired of their ‘politically correct’ nonsense.
She complains that by comparison, conservatives are thriving.
While the author attempts to attribute the success of conservatives to their supposed reliance on “outrage,” the reality is that left-wing talk shows, obsessing over their hatred for President Donald Trump and his supporters have long since stopped being funny.
Their constant jabs at the former president have become predictable and overplayed.
She does note, however, that her beloved left-wing hosts are fledgling due in part to the fact that even liberals have lost faith in the direction of the country under President Biden and are no longer interested in hearing these elitist spew their divisive propaganda.
This widespread adoption of conservative hosts over the liberal powerhouses signals a greater shift in America, that conservatives are making inroads in the culture wars.
