The ratings are in for the 2022 Beijing Olympics and its not good for China, nor NBC. In fact, the views of this Olympics are so dramatically down, that it will likely cost NBC billions of dollars.
NBC reported an opening ceremony viewership of just 16 million, that’s the lowest recorded audience for any Olympics. It’s 43% below the previous Winter Games in South Korea, which reported the second worst audience size tuning in.
One reason for the low ratings is that people simply don’t care. Some of the issues have to do with people not wanting to watch or support the Olympics taking place in China due to its human rights abuses, but much is based on people not being interested in watching.
The U.S. has also been getting destroyed in the events. Norway, a country that is smaller than many American states, is instead dominating the medal totals.
There seems to be a lacking patriotic spirit to these games that stands in contrast with the Olympics of the past. Is it American apathy toward a sporting competition that doesn’t seem that important to most Americans today? Or something else?
It doesn’t help that the strict COVID-19 protocols and testing continue to make it impossible for most people to attend and has knocked out some competitors due to last minute positive tests.
But check out the full video as its not just the low ratings, but the damage done to NBC’s budget that is also part of the situation in the latest video.
I would never support a country that won’t take responsibility on releasing a virus that has killed millions.
The woke world, with all its political correctness, gender-bending identities, equities, fauci flu mandates, and blah blah blah, most of us sadly just don’t care anymore!
There are too many important issues such as feeding our families and paying our bills to even think about the ChiCom Olympics!!
FCKbidenchina and his impotentpissantadmin!
The Olympics used to be about competing against other Nations for sport,, Now its so political n the cheating is outrageous,, There is no fair competition,, so why watch?
