Nashville locals tell new arrivals from California and New York, “Don’t vote for what you left.” Tennesseans welcome and embrace their new neighbors, but they certainly don’t want the leftist politics of the east and west coasts to become the new normal for their town.
With its Southern charm and slower pace of life, Nashville’s residents love their music, culture and Republican policies that allowed them to flourish. It’s no surprise Music City has attracted those fleeing the liberal policies of Newsom or Cuomo. Locals simply hope those who move next door leave their politics at their last location.
In addition to Nashville, mid-level cities in conservative states like Austin and San Antonio in Texas, and Tampa and Jacksonville in Florida, have experienced some of the nation’s fastest growth since the lockdowns of 2020. People are voting with their feet, fleeing for new places where they can continue business and live with fewer government restrictions.
When you live in a state that issues ongoing stay-at-home orders while other states are living with relative normalcy, why stay? The answer is, many have not. Nashville and other cities like them simply hope those who join them join their down home conservative views as well.

Gary, the left wing practices are the main reason people are fleeing the State of California. Myself and my daughter’s family will be fleeing in about three years when they retire. And Tennessee (Knoxville area) is high on the list but, be assured, we are true Republicans. My son-in-law has lived there before and I have vacationed there from WV and my granddaughter wants to go to college there. We will be good additions to your beautiful state!
I agree with the good people of Nashville. People from states run by Democrats for generations moving to Conservative states must leave the ideology of their states behind. The lame ideas of the left have ruined these states so much they can’t tolerate them any longer. Remember that when you vote for anyone down here.
I used to live in the Nashville area, (Hendersonville) for 5-years. I am now retired an now live on west coast of Florida. We have the same message for all of the New Yorker and New Jersey residents who move here, leave your politics and attitudes in the northeast. I moved to Florida from Massachusetts when I was 14-years old, it was a culture shock, but I endured and now I love it, I love the people and the freedom without the hard noise idiots of the left. I hate to admit it I was raised to be one of these hard noise idiots, but I converted a long time ago and never looked back with any regrets. I am an Independent voter, I believe in God, a patriot, a firm believer of our Constitution, our Flag, I support our Police and all Law Enforcement and Emergency personnel. I do not support socialism, transgender, BLM, Antifa, KKK, or the Democratic Party’s scam to Impeach Trump.

I am a registered Democrat; have been since I turned 18 over 35yrs ago. It was just what you did. I usually voted for the candidate I liked in the Nov. elections for local and state races. Almost every Presidential race I voted for the independent candidate; because I didn’t like either of the dem or rep. Choices. I had never voted for a Republican president until 2016. I guess when I was young I really didn’t pay any attention to politics. Now, I don’t care what race it is, state or national; I will never voted democrat again.
I grew up in a Democrat family, and my mother is still what I’d call a rabid Democrat. I last voted Dem for Obama, but when I saw his true ideology come out, plus lying Susan Rice and Hillary, and Benghazi …really tipped it. I watched the FBI 11 hour questioning of Hillary, never sworn in, and she held up 4 fingers and snidely said, “What’s it matter? IT’S ONLY FOUR PEOPLE!”. Those Americans were killed after she had sent them there after pulling the Embassy protection and refused to evacuate them despite Ambassador Steven begging her to for weeks before the attack. And then LIBYA had to send an evac plane for survivors, as she didn’t. And she, Obama, and Rice lied about it all. I never voted Dem again.
I saw the movie 13 Hours at when it was released 1/2016. There was an FBI guy there with his family. He said he was taking earlt retirement that summer because of all the FBI had doing against Trump for months (in 2015 !!!). He said it made him sick and the FBI was so changed for the worse from what it had been.
So the FBI didn’t first start their plans and steps against Trump the fall of 2016, or in July. They started in 2015 !!! No, I will not support what has become such a deceitful, corrupt, vicious party, that still gets away with their attacks and lies.

I agree. Arizona has changed for the worse since the influx of Californians, plus Illinois and Minnesotan retirees. You’d think they’d wise up. Yes, Arizona had fraud in 2020 vote, as did most states, sadly, and the Dems have been fighting investigation since.
