Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz blasted Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin over multiple failures during his leadership of the nation’s military.
“Why should American taxpayers fund lectures at the National Defense University that promote socialism as a strategy to combat China?”
Austin claimed he wasn’t aware of the event, but Gaetz didn’t let him off that easily.
“That’s surprising because it was widely reported that the National Defense University has Thomas Piketty come and this was the title of his lecture: ‘Responding to China: The Case for Global Justice and Democratic Socialism.’”
Gaetz also took issue with how the latest military budget would be spent. “What in the $773 billion that you’re requesting today is going to help you make assessments that are accurate in the face of so many blown calls?”
It’s a fair question. From Afghanistan to Russia and maybe China and Taiwan next, there seems to be a lot of wrong answers for a military with such vast resources. It’s not just Biden, but his full team of military leaders going along with his politically motivated moves that are putting our nation in harm’s way more each day.

Goetz did a commendable job vof asking the questions he did, but there is one important question he abd no one else in government are asking. That is; Why is Milley who has publicly admitted treason at that conference abd not in jail? Is this class at the military college only there because of his ties with Communist China and perhaps his wish to remake Anerica in the Communist Chinese image? I don’t know what is on Milkey’s mind, but I do know that it us an insult to America that he is still in office abd not yet prosecuted!! And it is a stain on every elected official tgat not one gas preferred charges against this admitted criminal
