Multiple people connected with California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein have reportedly noted the senator is suffering severe mental decline and may not –and should not—be allowed to continue much longer in office.
Feinstein, nearly 90 years old, still has multiple years before her current term is up. She also recently lost her husband who passed away. Now sources are saying she is no longer able to recall the names of those working with her or the conversations around her for any length of time, setting off alarm among some Democrat insiders.
What is to be done with the new information? If it appears she must step down due to health reasons before her reelection, a new senator is appointed by the governor until a new election can be held. This might not change much in Left Coast California in the short term, but it would force the state to launch a Senate election sooner than expected.
The new Senate campaign would then set off an opportunity for a new push for a conservative leader in the state. It didn’t work in the recent push for Larry Elder to defeat Gov. Gavin Newsom in the state’s recall election last year, but it could be the right time for someone on the right to make some noise.

If Finestein is unfit for office then what must we think about Biden? A sitting Senator who is experiencing mental decline is far less troubling then a sitting President. 1 out of 100 is far better than 1 out of 1. The Dems knew he wasn’t fit for office. Since Congress has decided that term limits are off the books, perhaps We, the People, could at least get them to agree to age limits. As it stands right now, more than half of Congress is over the age of 65, so if we manage to get legislation passed to prohibit running for office if you are 66 or older, we would have to replace over half of our elected officials with younger people. So far, I don’t see a downside to that, since that would allow for a maximum of 36 years in office for Senators, and 41 years as a Representative, but they could not serve into their 70s or beyond, and that is when the major health issues occur.

I believe the minimum age requirement to be president is 35, and the maximum age should be 65. We currently have too many bitter old crones in these positions now. I agree that Feinstein should be removed from office because she is no longer capable of performing her job. I don’t really agree with term limits, however, in most companies when you reach 70 they start pushing you towards the exit. If working men and women are forced to retire at 70 than those elected to the senate, congress and president should be forced to do the same.
I am 77 and I am no where near the man I was when I was 20 years younger. Being the President of the United States is a very demanding job. It is a job for a younger man not someone who is in the shape of Biden.
