One of the most admired politicians on the right in the 2022 midterms is Republican Kari Lake, who is running for Governor of Arizona. Lake is polished and fierce, and she understands who the real opponent is that she has to defeat: the enemy of the people media. She’s getting more “gotcha” questions from the press than most candidates would be able to handle.
Meanwhile, Lake’s opponent is the corrupt Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, who certified the illegitimate 2020 election results. Hobbs has refused to debate Kari Lake prior to the election, which is bizarre, cowardly, and nearly unprecedented in a gubernatorial race since the 1970s. (We’ve been televising presidential debates since Nixon-Kennedy in 1960s, and governor races since the ‘70s.)
It’s the best way for voters to get to know the candidates and see them under fire, but Katie Hobbs is just too terrified of Kari Lake to get on stage with her. As a result, the liberal media has to carry all the water for the Hobbs campaign. To put it mildly… they’re not faring well against Kari Lake.
Lake has that extremely polished ability – much like President Trump – to say the exact right thing that cuts her political enemies to the bone and makes them go crazy.
