Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart used to be a member of the media. His nightly leftist political show would review the day’s events and offer commentary on Democrats and Republicans. Now that he’s out of that role he’s criticizing the media and their reporting. Funny how that works, isn’t it?!
Jon’s newest criticism of the media is how conservatives and liberal reporters alike are all on the same side when it comes to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Yep you read that right. Stewart would prefer that we all keep fighting each other and never agree on anything. What a patriot!
More specifically Stewart says he’s uncomfortable with how much the media is pushing for more and more warfare instead of peace in the conflict.
Was he just born yesterday? Stewart acts like he’s not aware that the media in our country don’t always push for war. News outlets need action, they need new stories to keep viewers tuning in. This continued story, day after day, of Russia and Ukraine isn’t moving the needle for these outlets and viewership is down overall from the start of the war.
When Russia’s invasion first began, people were shocked at the violence and couldn’t get enough of the coverage. But as days have turned into weeks and now likely months, viewers—while still outraged by Russia’s actions—have started to tune out the story. The media’s natural reaction is to keep pushing for more conflict and war, something Stewart isn’t happy about.
Whether COVID or Trump or whatever the latest thing is, the mainstream media picks it up and runs with it, seemingly wishing it to grown worse for the sake of ratings. That’s simply wrong, and outlets on the left need to be held accountable.
Plus, the conflict certainly takes the attention off of other Biden blunders from recent months. For example, you probably haven’t heard much about the border surge lately, though it continues at record highs. Biden’s inflation issues have been out of the headlines more as well, as Zelenskyy and Putin dominate world headlines.

Jon Stewart – like many of us – realize that we have been lied to about everything so why should the story we are being force fed about this war be any different? As soon as I saw Soros – Obama -Gates and Fauci jump on the Ukraine’s side I started pumping the brakes. WE watched as Biden maintained support for both sides – funding Putin with oil money and sending money to the Ukraine. Biden promised the Ukraine planes – then reneged quicker than he did with student loans. When I look at all of the scandals – corruption and pure incompetence surrounding Joe Biden it is easy to be a contrarian – whichever way slow Joe is going I’m heading the other way. Before we commit troops and get even more people killed, we should have our eyes wide open as to what is really going on.
I agree with the other commenters in the bait and switch news ,the recent news of ,Biden releasing 1 million barrels of oil from US Reserve. If really wanting to solve problem remove restrictions on regulations to US oil and natural companies. We could supply the EU. Because of no fore thought this could have already been happening and Russians supply could have been shut down or off. All the sanctions implemented up to now hurt only the Russian people not Putin and military
