Joe Rogan has been in the news quite a bit lately. But the following clip came out even before CNN accused him of promoting horse medicine as a treatment for COVID. Here, he was responding to people like Don Lemon, publicly and unapologetically pushing for the unvaccinated to be treated like second-class citizens.
Rogan was pretty fired up and he went off about how everything the mainstream media are doing is damaging the cause of freedom. He goes on to say that “before 1776” there were no democracies. Nearly banging his fists on the table he exclaims that this is the only successful experiment in self-governance the world has ever seen.
Rogan then goes on to explain that a big part of the reason the American experiment has been as successful as it has been is that we “give people freedom.” He says that it turns out when you give people freedom they find ways to be prosperous, they find ways to be successful, creative, and innovative- that they discover their own greatness.
Rogan’s worry is that America is moving away from what this nation is all about. A la less of a democracy and more of an authoritarian country like France and China—where leaders dictate was residents can and can’t do. Rogan’s anger stems from the fact that we are failing to appreciate the value of what we have.
The following clip from Prager U includes a short segment of the Joe Rogan podcast. In the second half, Ben Shapiro will back Rogan up with some useful historical facts. Enjoy!
