A historic bridge in Holland will be partially taken down to allow Jeff Bezos’s superyacht to pass through without getting damaged.
You read that right. Mega-billionaire Jeff Bezos of Amazon acclaim can’t fit his 417 foot boat, the largest yacht in the world, under the bridge’s 130 foot clearance, because it’s too darn big. Instead of some other option, he’s rigged a way to get the country to dismantle the historic bridge so he can pass.
The absolutely ridiculous action shows that Bezos and his money can get more done in a small European country than Biden can. Not that we want Amazon’s founder to run for president or even the local school board, but it’s clear that cash is king way more than it should be in the international matter.
The hosts also share the humor of the Washington Post writing about the story. Bezos owns the Washington Post, but even they noted the $500 million cost of his yacht.
The bridge was built in 1927, nearly 100 years ago. But it’s apparently no match for Bezos and his 417 foot TALL super-yacht. It’s a national monument that is now a national issue involved the guy who runs one of America’s largest companies. Watch the full video now for details.
If Holland wants to acquiesce to the whims of Jeff Bezos, that is Hollands business. Undoubtedly Bezos is paying them handsomely to do this. When you think about it, it is really no different from an oil company tearing down an historic landmark to make room for a gas station to be built. At least Bezos’ request is temporary for the bridge: but the gas station is permanent for the historic building!

Those two are just a bunch of squawkers. Who cares . At least his money will be spread around .
We don’t want to get started on tearing down historical markers in the last 2 or 3 years this country has removed countless statues of civil war history just to satisfy a bunch assholes.
