Biden’s Press Sec. Jen Psaki struggled to answer why Biden is continuing Trump’s border wall after promising that “not another foot” would be built.
First, Psaki argues there’s “a review underway.” But Biden promised! Shouldn’t that be enough? Can’t we believe our own president would keep his word to let every illegal immigrant cross into our nation who wants to do so?
Second, she admits parts of the wall are under discussion for wall building, but then repeats her fallback that a wall is not an answer. So the wall is not the answer, Biden is against it, but he’s doing some of it anyway? No problem with that logic, right?
Glad she’s emphasizing “smart security” along the nation’s southern border. Wouldn’t want to make any unwise choices that would allow 171,000 illegal immigrants to cross the border in a single month again, would we?
Wouldn’t want to be in charge of caring for 19,000 unparented illegal immigrant children either. That wouldn’t be smart at all.
Oh, wait. That was March. Maybe patching a few holes in Trump’s half-finished border wall Biden declared he would never build another foot of will help. Americans won’t notice, will they? We’ll just promise to send a monthly COVID slash post-COVID check each month and maybe eliminate some student loans along the way.
