In a discussion with SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman in the House Small Business Committee last week, newly elected and rising superstar Republican Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) clashed with Committee Chair Nydia Velázquez (D-PR), after she warned him that he was violating the quorum.
He clearly stated the vaccine mandates are unconstitutional and thanked courts that have struck down the requirements. But Guzman couldn’t handle the facts, striking back like a cobra with heated rhetoric, but no real response to push back on the pile of facts Rep. Donalds unleashed on the SBA Administrator.
Plus, he notes the supply chain issues and increased unemployment payments are concerns created by the left rather than to be blamed on COVID issues.
For example, Donalds notes his local 7/11 has a sign with a $500 signing bonus for new workers. Is this really about COVID or is it due to government funding through unemployment and other methods keeping businesses from getting workers to show up or wanting a job? Guzman wants to blame it on the COVID boogeyman but Donalds was having none of it in his relentless pursuit of the facts.

This ” Administrator ” did everything she could to not answer the questions. The head of the committee in staying with Democratic decorum, also chastised the Representative for stating facts. How hard is it to say what others have been seeing and saying for almost a year now , which is if you make it so a person makes more on Unemployment that they can by returning to work , what will most do, the answer is simple. They won’t go back to work. Another aspect they are not seeing is if every company has to raise their base ( Starting ) pay , then they will also have to raise everyone’s pay to stay competitive, to afford it and still make money or keep investors happy the price of their goods or services will have to increase, once again pushing inflation to become out of control
The Democrats Will continue to give away free money in order to ensure they retain political Power. You are given more money for doing nothing than to work. I actually heard at a McDonald’s a person that they wanted $25 per hour because they are making over $20 for doing Nothing! The manager politely said starting wage was $15.50. The person said not enough And left. I guess the tech aspects of cooking burgers warrant engineering salary. Stop all this free money you have printed enough that my granddaughters children – children’s and maybe one mrw generation will be paying for this.

First, I want to state that I am supportive of the 1st amendment right that guarantees individual freedom of speech. That said, as I read the comments before mine I see a ton of truth and much verbal poison as well, actually more than I can appreciate that lends itself to closer scrutiny. I don’t disagree with the opinions seasoned with poisonous verbiage, and to be honest I can’t in all honesty claim to never have been guilty of expressing valid points with constraint to the verbiage I myself have used. I sense the frustration and anger felt by those who are unable to or have not chosen to bridle the poison tongue. I continue to feel great frustration and anger myself and it deeply troubles my soul for the sake of our nation and all of it’s legal citizens and generations to follow as the LORD tarries. I’ve been blessed to have served our nation and citizens for many years in federal service from which I am now retired. During that time, due to a solemn, sacred oath I voluntarily took without reservation, I was not able to comment in open forums such as this without violating that sacred solemn oath. My personal priorities were and remain to this very day GOD/Country(USA)/Family. My daily prayer is they will remain my personal order of priorities until I draw my last breath. In my time of service I learned that if I want to be heard my presentation had to given in a manner that didn’t turn off my audience. I discovered that I didn’t necessarily have to tone down, be less adamant or forceful in expression but bridling the poison tongue kept more people in my audience willing to hear me. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in Philadelphia and everywhere the conversations and debate took place as our Constitution and Declaration of Independence were being created. History tells me there were many heated tumultuous exchanges and I bet dollars to donut holes the verbiage was often not of Biblical orientation. However, the completed written versions of those documents do not contain unbridled venomous poison declarations to the masses it was created for. Its amazing what the art of negotiation accomplished to create these finished pieces, verbal works of art w/o Brandon or FJB type verbiage.
Another tactical point I want to express here, today is this. We the people can only work with the tools we have before us to accomplish our goals. I strongly support research and development and continuing creation of better more effective tools to get any job done regardless of the subject matter. But wherever that r&d process may or may not be, reality dictates we can only work with the tools we have available to us at any given moment. The tools “we the people” have before us today are not single threaded but they should be precisely and expertly used to repair problems for when they are not so applied they can and will create additional problems. The newly created brokenness may be even more horrendous than the repairs we are desperately trying to make. Proceeding with due caution has risks of it’s own but proceed we must, considering the risks and determining a best course of action. Action is a must. Rhetoric will never get it done and I know this for a fact from life experience. 2022 and 2024 give us “we the people” opportunities to right a listing ship, the United States of America while we as a nation still can do what’s necessary to save our republic.
