We kind of hate the way that Fox News has been continually trying to set Florida Governor Ron DeSantis up as some sort of “Trump slayer” in the 2024 election. Let Governor DeSantis make up his mind on his own.
That being said, DeSantis does appear like he’s planning to jump in the race at the urging of the ENTIRE GOP establishment (an establishment which is truly loathed by Trump’s voters). Hopefully the governor won’t destroy a bunch of his own political capital by trying to jump in the race.
Fox News itself doesn’t even seem to be paying attention to their own viewers. In the most recent Fox News poll, President Trump leads Ron DeSantis 43% to 28%, respectively. Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Gregg Abbott and Liz Cheney (LOL Liz Cheney!) are way behind them.
GOP voters know that President Trump is the only Republican they can trust to put the American people first in every policy decision that is made. Truly every other Republican only does it half-heartedly at best.
And this wasn’t the only epic Fox News Fail on the effort to drum up support for DeSantis.
On the day when the governor’s new book was officially released, Fox & Friends sent Brian Kilmeade to Florida. At a diner, Kilmeade decided to try to gauge the temperature in favor of Governor DeSantis over Donald Trump. It… did not go well.
Kilmeade fails to find a solid DeSantis supporter, including a lady near the end of this video who is wearing a DeSantis T-shirt. Most of the voters still prefer Trump. Watch and see for yourself…
