University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines joined “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to discuss NCAA’s handling of the meet that involved biological male-transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.
In the women’s 200 meter NCAA championship, Gaines tied for fifth place with Thomas. She argues the standards used to allow Thomas to participate in the championship were extremely poor.
When she went to collect her fifth place trophy, they only had one. It was given to Lia.
The move was shocked Gaines and one of many instances of the NCAA failing badly in dealing with the transgender issue. If two swimmers tie, the trophy and title is to be shared, but the NCAA didn’t do that. Instead they chose Thomas over Gaines and allowed her to pose and take pictures with the 5th place trophy while Gaines was told to pose with the 6th place trophy. The NCAA is playing favorites and biological women are the losers.
Women’s sports are supposed to be for women. Not 6’3” men who were swimming for the men’s team as recently as three years ago. Carlson argues the act seems like cheating, with Gaines noting that there’s a big difference between a person’s biological gender and gender identity.
The situation is not fair and it’s not right, according to Gaines, a view that is held by the majority of female athletes. Now she’s speaking out against the cheating and others rallying in support.
The is all about shutting up anyone who opposes the left’s narrative, but behind the scenes many female swimmers are upset that their sport is being hijacked by someone who doesn’t belong. Check it out for the full interview now.

I don’t think that a male should be able to compete in a women’s field.
Just because one decides he is a woman, that does not change their inherited, biological characteristics. Having a poor estimation of who you are biologically does not change their DNA or Chromosomes. Letting those who are self deceived destroy the image of womanhood is unfortunately sick and depraved.
This is an issue that is self effectuating. It will correct itself in time. Unfortunately, many will be hurt in the process. The people, and institutions, who are promoting this will be brought down by nature. It is inevitable. As my grandparents used to say, “the pendulum always swings back.”
A sub-story to the totally wrong view that it’s OK for men to compete against women in a woman’s designated sport is that it’s the Left Democrats who are doing this. So now, the party that has said for decades they are here to protect women are simply, and loudly, saying they are liars. We need to call them out on this every chance we get until everyone knows.

Agree with all of these posts! It is infuriating to hear them refer to Thomas as “ she”, because HE ISN’T A SHE! What a total farce! HE couldn’t win on a men’s team, so he hijacked the designation as a female! Sure HE wins now, because HE is bigger and stronger! That is cheating, no matter how you spin it! The NCAA should be disbanded completely! How shameful for supposedly “ adults” to cheat our girls for a nut job! And to allow HIM to go into the women’s locker room and parade around nude is sexual abuse! Disgusting! The girls should refuse to compete with him! If these freaks want to claim they are trannys, then have a tranny swim team, let them compete with others of like mind! NOT OUR GIRLS!
