Under the time-honored rules of capitalism, isn’t the person who pays your salary technically your “boss?” Why, yes! That’s exactly how it works.
So, people who would normally be collecting a taxpayer funded salary are instead being paid directly by a Google oligarch to set White House COVID policy. If you’ve wondered why Joe Biden is imposing vaccine mandates on the country after he promised not to during the campaign, that’s why.
A Google oligarch tells them what policy positions the COVID office has to draft, otherwise, as the boss who pays their salary, he can fire them. It’s disgusting and it makes you wonder how many other billionaires and interest groups are actually running the show right now.
