Congressman CAUGHT Telling the Truth about Corruption in DC

Alabama Republican Rep. Mo Brooks revealed how the entrenched corruption of the swamp in Washington, D.C., works during a recent event for his Senate campaign.

“The reason is simple. Special interest groups run Washington and I don’t mean that metaphorically. I mean literally,” Brooks said.

He gives an example from the House, stating that if you want to lead a committee, you basically purchase it by a bid with special interest groups willing to fund your reelection campaign.

You can’t get the funding you need from the average American when the cost is in the millions. Instead, leaders deal with these special interest groups to negotiate deals and vote accordingly.

That’s how our federal government increasingly works. What is said on the campaign trail can often be overridden by insider deals that lead representatives to “change their mind” for the right price.

It’s a startling admission for someone running for Senate, but Brooks has long been known for speaking his mind. You might not like what he has to say, but it rings true in a political environment that is revealed as growingly corrupt.

  1. He’s not saying anything different than what normal Americans already knew. Money runs DC, not we the people. Just look at all the millionaires we’ve made. Pelosi Biden these are career politicians who are worth millions by raping the system. Using insider information or just plain bribes for your son. It’s not only democrats it’s both sides of the the swamp who steal from the poor to give to the rich.

  2. Bribes & Pay Off’s.= Criminal enterprise. Politicians are Criminals protected by the corrupt criminal enterprise- The Gov. Look no further than the Clintons who have committed more felonies that John Wayne Gacy, Jeffery Dahmer, Ridgeway, Bundy, etc. Greed & corruption are the flavors of the day for most if not all Politicians.

  3. We the people have to make that system illegal. We start by banning out of state money in local and state gov. Elections. It’s the only place to start. Then move on to fed. Elections. Banning foreign money first and next….would be lobbying.

  4. Here is a parallel. The 1st doctrine of teaching is: “Do no harm, to any child, whether physical, mental or emotional” and this doctrine is paramount because all children are innocent. (“Innocent” does not
mean “well behaved” and the child should be given independent lunch as a consequence to any misbehavior in the classroom.) All elected politicians should have a 1st doctrine to their professions too and here is one I like: “Do no deals with lobbying groups, special interests, or foreign governments to advance your personal power in office or to increase your wealth while in office. You as an elected official must answer only to your constituents and the American people.”
Do you think that doctrinal idea would fly in the Swamp that is Washington DC?
