CNN+ Fails on its Very First Day, Lay Offs Already Being Discussed

CNN has poured millions of dollars into its streaming app CNN+. It hired hundreds of journalists, producers, marketing and others to run it. After months of preparations the app finally launch this week and the results were nothing short of disastrous. In fact it’s clear that CNN+ is already failing on its first day of programming.

Multiple reports have spread online of that the new streaming network is already in talks to cut jobs! Employees are reportedly bracing for layoffs coming as early as May. The $120 million venture is a huge investment for the network, and is a huge risk—especially considering their dismal programming features. A parenting show with Vanderbilt heir Anderson Cooper and a daily propaganda show for their lowest rated TV host Brian Stelter are the best things the app has to offer subscribers. It’s laughable.

But the network claims it’s excited about the launch, according to a statement provided to the Daily Mail. But there’s no telling if that’s really the truth given the many scandals in recent months that have included the departure of President Jeff Zuck, the firing of Chris Cuomo over his scandal with his brother, the former Democratic governor or New York, in the aftermath of his own sexual harassment investigation, accusations against Don Lemon and two former employees arrested over separate child sex crimes.

So what will become of the new CNN streaming service? You’ll have to watch the report to discover the dismal details that make it obvious the streaming app will be a quick flop.

  1. Only thing missing are special segments featuring the likes of Rosie, Pothole Pete, George Takei, Rachael Levine and other disaffected whiners looking for shoulders to cry on. Sadly, this crowd has some very deep pocket support to keep them affloat.
