Big tech employees have lived a spoiled existence while working cushy jobs at the likes of Amazon, Google and Facebook, but with the economy in shambles – they’ve been handed a serious wake up call, and it could have a significant impact on the culture in America.
Widespread layoffs have rocked the tech sector over the last several months. More than 200,000 Americans have been let go since late last year.
Practically overnight, these tech workers have gone from bragging about the perks of their jobs – like nap pods, free lunches, and game rooms – to freaking out that they have been let go.
Now this is particularly interesting due to the fact that it has been these very companies and their woke employees who have perpetuated the “woke” narrative in America, where organizations have been pressured to weigh “diversity” over merit when it comes to hiring and firing.
However, when it comes to these employees, they INSIST that the layoffs should have been merit based – exposing themselves as major hypocrites who don’t REALLY care about diversity when it affects them.
These people have been living in a fantasy land and have projected that onto the rest of society.
But that’s all about to change.
