America’s Doctor Shortage is Driving Up Healthcare Costs

What happens when we run out of doctors? That’s the question reporter John Stossel asked in a new segment on woke medicine in the U.S.

One answer is clear: the shortage drives up the price of health care. But instead of making it easier for doctors to stay in business, the American Medical Association continues to use what Stossel calls “Marxist language” to emphasis a narrative of its own making.

This means some of the good guys are leaving the profession, while future potential doctors are avoiding the field completely. The shortage also leads to longer wait times and can literally be the difference between life and death when not enough medical professionals are available.

The AMA’s new health equity plan has some answers for doctors that includes a bunch of new inclusive language for the medical field. For example, don’t say “minority.” Instead, say “historically marginalized.” The document talks about the problems of individualism and more in a piece of writing that sounds more like communism than medicine.

Stossel’s report investigates what is driving these language and policy changes and what it means for you and your family in the days ahead.

It’s downright scary to think that in the time of history’s best technology, we may struggle to find a single doctor who can care for us or our loved ones in an emergency situation. Find out more in the video from Stossel.
