Biden recently bashed gas station owners, demanding them to drop gas prices. Many people were puzzled by Biden’s gaslighting, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who took aim at the president’s ridiculous blame game.
Bezos responded to Biden’s quote by saying, “Inflation is too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. It’s either misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics.”
Bezos is right. He may be part of the left himself, but he was willing to criticize those on his own side for making such wrongheaded statements regarding the economy and gas prices.
It’s not the fault of gas station owners that gas prices are high. The changes occurred following Biden’s move into office. He ended the XL Pipeline and signed on to climate change initiatives that have restricted production and led to record gas prices.
If Biden really wanted to lower gas prices, he knows what to do. He could increase production in our own country and prices would drop overnight. Instead, he’s more willing to head to Saudi Arabia and make deals with terrorists while Americans struggle to pay their bills. It’s a terrible situation that continues to worsen daily. Jay Kay, You’re right on but there’s one key item that’s also missing while we’re on this topic! Gas stations DO NOT DICTATE the price of gas at the pump!! The gas companies DO! They tell the gas station owners when to lower, raise or leave the price as is!!!! So what these big gas companies are doing right now is jumping on the Biden green deal nonsense with Big greedy, lusty eyes for more profit! And that’s adding more fuel to the fire ordinary Americans are suffering!!! So yes, the oil and gas industry is at fault TOO while staying quiet and letting Dumb ass Biden take all the blame! If a drug dealer tosses boxes of laundered money to avoid IRS capture outside the window of a tall building to avoid capture, wouldn’t most folks join in the greed to pick up as much money as they could get??? Same with the gas companies! Dumb ass Biden!

These corporate bigwigs like Bezos have nobody else to blame but themselves. Gas prices are not controlled by the gas stations or the gas companies. it is the world market and of course no OPEC (again). When we were energy independent the prices were lowered because the biggest market which was the U.S. did not need to buy like we were so the world market was lower. When Biden took over and all these other idiots and took us off self supporting they put us back on life support and at the mercy of OPEC again. Do you not think they said OK we are going to make back all that money we lost when the U.S. was actually selling natural gas and oil? you want to pay our national debt? Then let the oil companies drill and sell our own oil and gas. The U.S has more natural gas and oil in the ground than anybody and we won’t use what we have. They would rather (they being politicians) destroy us for their own power grab!
Remember when Pelosi and company threatened to shut down the government over border wall spending when Trump was president? Not one dollar for that wall she crowed.
