After getting DESTROYED in the 2024 election the Democrats seem to be even MORE nervous about what will happen in the 2026 midterm election, and so much so that they’re getting an early start on their usual fearmongering antics.
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) made that ABUNDANTLY clear when he decided to go on MSNBC and deliver one of the most INSANE rants we’ve seen in quite a while.
Murphy was speaking to MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace in an effort to cast doubt about the legitimacy of the 2026 election – somehow suggesting that President Donald Trump is “destroying our democracy” and will cheat to win in the midterms.
Wallce suggested that even if the Democrats win back control of Congress it “won’t matter” because of all of the “corruption” in the Trump administration.
“It’s staggering and it’s all out in the open. It’s almost as if to say, you know, when you’re president, you can do it,” the far-left anchor claimed.
Murphy then responded by saying, “This is the conversation we’re having right now inside the Democratic Party. How urgent is the moment?”
Then he started the fearmongering.
“I believe that there’s no guarantee that we are going to have a free and fair election in 2026. I think he’s trying to rig our democracy, to destroy dissent, to cripple the political opposition,” Murphy argued while offering ZERO proof to back his outlandish claims per usual.
He continued, “even if his approval ratings are in the 30s in the fall of next year, there isn’t the ability for his opposition to muster a real campaign.”
“So I think we’ve got to act with tremendous urgency and we have to make the corruption and the destruction of democracy the number one issue.”
The Democrats are really going to go with the “Trump’s a cheater” narrative heading into the next election? Yikes.
