Anyone who thinks that the political right is engaging in “cancel culture” right now is thinking about this incorrectly. Thousands of Democrats have been publicly identified and fired due to public backlash for their disgusting comments about Charlie Kirk’s death and his widow and children. This is wildly different from the cancel culture that the left has been enforcing against normal people for the past decade.
Doctors, nurses, airline pilots, a Secret Service agent, and others have been fired for publicly dancing on Charlie Kirk’s grave. They fully deserved to be fired for those abhorrent statements. They need to be socially shamed and punished for that.
They’re so comfortable in the cancel culture world that they created that they don’t even believe they’ve done anything wrong.
Conservatives, on the other hand, have been fired from their jobs for the past ten years for saying things that are objectively true. We get fired for saying perfectly sane, true things like, “Men can’t get pregnant,” or “Hairy perverts in dresses shouldn’t be allowed in the girls’ bathroom.”
