If the reasoning behind the calls for America to attack Iran on behalf of another foreign country sounds vaguely familiar to you, that’s because we’ve heard it all before. As former Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) explains, it’s as if the neocons have a regime change “mad libs” form that they recycle every time they want to knock another leader out of power. Just change the name of the country they want to invade and the type of WMD they supposedly have.
All the lies we’re being told about Iran right now are the same lies that we were told about Iraq in 2002. Bibi Netanyahu testified before Congress back then. He insisted that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction that he was planning to use against Israel and its next-door neighbor, Scranton, New Jersey.
Netanyahu insisted that if we deposed Saddam Hussein, it would create a stabilizing ripple effect in the Middle East and make the world a safer place. Tribal Arabs would flock to Jeffersonian democracy and before you know, there would be resorts and golf courses in Baghdad that every American would want to visit! Peace on earth!
It was all a lie. Saddam never had WMDs and deposing him led to the Iraqi people electing the most radical Islamist politicians in their country, who immediately wrote a Sharia law constitution that led to the creation of ISIS.
We’re being told the same utopian fairy tale about Iran now. Matt Gaetz knows this and he brings the receipts to prove it:
Damn.. Matt Gaetz coming in hot… ?
“Many of President Trump’s Pro-Israel friends and advisers are trying to pressure him into sending airstrikes against Iran…
President Trump knows the Bush-era doctrine of regime change in the Middle East is foolish…>
