After President Trump moved to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, it didn’t take long for the U.N. to rescind Trump’s declaration. While the U.N.’s unwillingness to work with Trump on this matter certainly frustrated a lot of people, there was one person in particular who was displeased by their actions – United States U.N. representative Nikki Haley.
After vetoing the U.N. resolution to rescind Trump’s declaration, Haley had a few powerful words for her fellow U.N. members. What followed was a speech that has got to be one of the most powerful sermons that Nikki Haley or anyone in the Trump administration have ever delivered. To say that Haley eviscerated the U.N. Security Council is to put it lightly.
At a time when it seems as if the entire world is aligned against Trump and his mission to put the interests of America first, anyone serving as the U.N. representative for the United States would no doubt have a difficult job. If her speech on Jerusalem is any indication, though, Nikki Haley seems to be performing that job wonderfully.
