Why Michael Flynn’s Plea Deal with the FBI is a Good Sign for President Trump

When news about Michael Flynn’s plea deal came out, those on the left began their celebration, and, if you listened to most of the media at the time, it would seem that Donald Trump’s impeachment following Flynn’s plea deal was all but inevitable. However, those celebrations might have come a bit too early.

The truth is that Michael Flynn agreeing to a plea bargain is far from being bad news for President Trump. In fact, it may actually be a good sign for the President.

If Flynn had any compromising information on Trump, the President could have pardoned him instead of allowing this plea deal to happen. Also, by pleading guilty to lying to the FBI, any credibility that Flynn could have as a witness against Trump is shot.

Most significantly, though, the fact that the prosecution had to charge Flynn with lying to the FBI and not with any crime other than that is a strong sign that their case against Flynn and anyone else in Trump’s inner circle is flimsy at best.

Suffice it to say that if you’re a fan of President Trump you can take a deep breath and rest easy. For those hoping for a Trump impeachment, you may want to hold off on the celebrations.
