It’s been three weeks since that train derailment and chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio. People are reporting that their skin burns when they go outdoors, their pets and livestock are dying, the water table and the Ohio River are poisoned – possibly for a generation, and many of the folks who live there are financially trapped. They don’t have the funds to just up and move someplace else.
Naturally, that means Joe Biden went to Ukraine this week to give the money-laundering nexus of planet earth another gazillion dollars in American taxpayer money. It’s so disgusting on so many levels.
Ukraine isn’t even a Top 10 issue for most Americans right now. People are concerned about everything from the price of eggs and gasoline to our porous southern border, but we don’t know anyone who thinks Ukraine is important – let alone important enough to risk a nuclear war over.
If Putin completely captured Ukraine tomorrow and planted the Russian flag in the middle of Kiev, it wouldn’t change a single thing in the lives of the average American. We’d still have to get out of bed tomorrow, put our pants on one leg at a time, and try to figure out how we’re going to afford eggs with an imposter in the White House crushing our economy.
