The United States and the United Kingdom are alike in many ways. While the two nations do go different directions in regards to gun laws and some other aspects of society, in general, the two are closer than they are apart. When fighting terrorism, one nation almost always supports the other. It is why the two countries consider each other one of their closest allies. Together, the two also share in the dragging of feet when fighting terrorism.
When a terrorist attack occurs, people change their Facebook profile pictures to unifying messages like “Remember Orlando” or “Pray for Manchester.” Perhaps they do this for attention, or to honestly show their concern over the world events they cannot control. Yet when potential action against these tragedies comes about, many of these same people boycott the very idea.
President Donald Trump has attempted to institute travel and immigration bans from six Middle Eastern countries, including Libya. Liberals scream and holler at these proposals, it’s as if they want those from terrorist sectors of the world allowed in. Parents of the Manchester bomber emigrated from Libya, and their son thanked them by bringing destruction and death to families throughout the community.
People posted “We Are All Manchester” in sign of support on their social media accounts, but when time comes for actual action, they will balk at the idea and refuse to do anything. They’d rather sing John Lennon’s “Imagine” and toss up a new profile message than take any meaningful action to stop future attacks. Watch the video to discover just how deep the country is with its response to terrorism.
