Who Will Win in a Trade War: America or China?

Former deputy assistant to President Donald Trump and Fox News national security strategist Sebastian Gorka recently discussed the possibility of a trade war with China, the threat that country poses to the United States, and how Trump should push ahead with his pressure on Beijing.

Gorka’s comments are prefaced by a look at the wild fluctuations in the stock markets over the last couple of weeks. He notes that it is not a good idea to judge from Gorka one day record highs and lows what the long-term direction of the economy may take.

In an interview with The Daily Signal last year Gorka was asked what the president should do about tariffs and China. He said, “I’d use all the tools at his disposal to begin countering what they’re doing that most people don’t realize is already happening.”

[The White House has looked] into what China is actually doing, not just with the theft of U.S. intellectual property but what is called the forced acquisition. If you want to do business as IBM or Google in China, you basically have to hand over your intellectual property to the state.

Go and tell our friends in Asia… that the days of unfettered intimidation of its neighbors by China are over.
