Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said during a recent interview that Democrats are in disarray ahead of the midterms, leaving an opportunity for Republicans to win back the Senate.
Key to a conservative return to power in the Senate is the battle in Georgia between Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and Republican candidate Herschel Walker. Warnock, a pro-choice pastor, won in a close battle in 2021 in a special election.
Walker, on the other hand, is a legend in Georgia going back to his days as a running back for the Bulldogs. But he’ll need to do more than point to the past to take back the seat from Warnock. Gingrich and others have pointed out the key is not just social issues, but to press hard on the left’s failures in destroying the economy.
With generation high inflation and recent record gas prices, the battle shouldn’t be that difficult. The advantage is especially strong when the left pretends the economy is making historic gains when inflation was 9.1% last month.
It’s not just Georgia, either. Gingrich believes Republicans can pick up other seat as well, giving the right a strong majority to push back against President Joe Biden’s radical policies with the left. Check out the video for more on the critical midterm battle for the Senate.
