The latest attack on Trump is by far the strangest. Before you read any further, it’s important to emphasize one thing. There is no new or emerging evidence in the Mueller investigation that prompted these stories. They came completely out of thin air, and as such, that’s exactly how verifiable the claims are.
It started with the New York Times. They claimed that the FBI has opened an investigation to see if Trump himself is a Russian agent. What actually happened is that the FBI looked into claims of this nature in 2016. They then closed the investigation because there was no evidence whatsoever to substantiate the claims. You wouldn’t know that by reading the New York Times article.
The Wall Street Journal and Washington Post doubled down on this attack. They went to great lengths to try and show that Trump had secret meetings with Putin in Helsinki. Among their many claims is that Trump worked hard to prevent top White House officials from knowing the details of those meetings. He even seized the interpreter’s notes to keep them from leaking!
In this video, you can get your answers directly. Liz Wheeler asks a White House official point blank about the meetings. Don’t let news outlets tell you what to think. You can get your news from the source on this one. Take a look.
