The Democrat Party is furious with Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin after he decided that his state would have a safe and secure election this November, in which Democrats are not allowed to cheat. George W. Bush was the last Republican to win Virginia, back in the 2004 presidential election. Virginia has been a reliably “blue” state since then for some reason.
And by “for some reason,” we mean cheating. The Democrats cheat.
It never made sense to a lot of us that Donald Trump lost Virginia in 2020 under suspicious circumstances, only to have Youngkin turn around the very next year and win the governorship in the same state. It obviously didn’t make much sense to Youngkin either.
Youngkin recently signed an executive order mandating that Virginia will be using paper-only ballots with a traceable chain-of-custody in Virginia. The ballots will only be counted on manual machines that cannot be hooked up to the internet.
Other measures include vigorously prosecuting illegal aliens who try to register to vote in Virginia.
A funny thing has happened since then. The Democrats now admit that Virginia’s 13 electoral voters are in play this year, and Donald Trump could win them. What an odd thing to say about a reliably blue state!
We’ll be interested to see whether Trump wins Virginia now that the voters will only be using paper ballots. If that happens, it should be a lesson to Republicans in other states.
