Video: Good Samaritans Rescue Elderly Driver Trapped in a Fiery Vehicle

A 71-year-old driver in St. Paul, MN, is lucky to be alive after his Honda SUV veered off the road, struck a light pole, and burst into flames. The vehicle was trapped against a guardrail on the driver’s side, and the passenger’s side was completely engulfed in flames. He was trapped.

Then, something that you rarely see in urban areas in America happened. Multiple drivers stopped and began working together to try to pull the elderly man out of the burning vehicle. At least ten complete strangers stopped to assist in the dangerous rescue.

At one point, half a dozen of the Good Samaritans were pulling on the driver’s side doors, attempting to break down the guardrail so the driver could get out. An explosion from underneath the vehicle sends them reeling back for a moment.

One man showed up with a fire extinguisher from his car, but the blaze was too intense for that to even make a difference.

Finally, they manage to smash open the driver’s side window and pull the elderly man out feet-first. He was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

Videos like this give us hope for the country. Most of our politicians are completely worthless, but the American people still look out for each other in times of crisis. Watch…
