Victory! The Biden administration has announced it is ‘pausing’ the disinformation governance board. And that it’s leader, Nina Jankowicz, has resigned.
Yes, the foolish launch of a federal group to oversee so-called disinformation has been put on hold after widespread pushback from Americans across the political spectrum who see it as a threat to free speech more than as a way to protect Americans from harmful accounts.
The board’s controversial leader has also announced she will be stepping out of the role due to the group’s uncertain future. That’s good news for freedom loving Americans, as the leftist TikToker could have been left in charge of deciding what’s okay for us to view between her personal atrocious social media efforts.
The pause is also a huge win for conservatives headed into the November midterms. If the left wasn’t unpopular enough at the moment for its 40-year high inflation, record gas prices and open border, increasing censorship wasn’t going to help.
If Pennsylvania’s primary is any indicator, GOP voters are turning out in mass for the midterms and that’s good for democracy. We may see Republicans soon controlling Congress again, putting a complete ban in place to Biden’s disinformation governing board plans.
