We need to stop and pay attention to something very serious. Bernie Sanders came within a hair’s breadth of winning the Democratic nomination in 2016. Possibly even worse, a lot of projections suggest that he would have defeated Trump where Hillary couldn’t. Sticking your head in the sand and pretending that America isn’t on the verge of a socialist revolution is no longer an option. We’re inches away.
Possibly the most important thing you can do in the name of your civic duty is to fight against socialism. The U.S. was the ultimate beacon of hope against a hundred years of socialism. That beacon is looking dimmer every day. You cannot allow a privileged generation who doesn’t understand the dangers of socialism lead us off this cliff.

Venezuelan socialism is the most extreme modern example, and the state of the country is worse than you can imagine. When millions of people are starving to death, the economic policy has failed.
