Two Supreme Court Decisions Could Wreck the Democrat Party This Fall

(NEW) Protest in front of US Supreme Court over Roe V. Wade. May 3, 2022, Washington DC, Maryland, USA: Outside of the United States Supreme Court in Washington DC, protestors have gathered to voice their response to the leaked ruling that would overturn Roe V. Wade, the contentious right for women to legally have an abortion in the United States. The law has been in place in the United States since 1973.

The US Supreme Court is on its long summer break right now. When the court goes back into session in October, there are a couple of cases that could be devastating to America’s fringe third party, otherwise known as the Democrats.

In one case that the court has agreed to take up, it could destroy a bunch of congressional seats that the Democrat Party created through race-based gerrymandering. Democrats claim that they’re helping the oppressed and getting them better representation in Congress by gerrymandering districts based on heavily black or Hispanic neighborhoods.

If that’s lawful, then… shouldn’t red states be able to gerrymander to benefit white people?

The court is likely to overturn race-based gerrymandering, which could cost the Democrats a bunch of seats in the House of Representatives, right before the 2026 midterms.

In another case, the interminable mail-in ballot counting that takes place in blue states is being challenged. In Illinois, for example, they have a state law that lets them count federal mail-in ballots for 14 days after Election Day. We all know what that’s really about.

Both of these cases will be up before the Supreme Court this fall, and they could lead to further damage to the Democrat Party’s prospects long-term. (If they can’t cheat in elections, would they even still have a political party?)
