Tulsi Gabbard Warns Against Ballot Harvesting

Is Tulsi Gabbard the shining symbol of hope in this country? Don’t misunderstand. She is a deeply flawed politician with some disturbing views and scary policies. Despite that, she’s also a Democrat who is willing to engage in actual discourse with the other side. She’s willing to acknowledge problems with her own party, and in some instances, she’s not a completely partisan robot.

Is it possible that other Democrats could behave similarly? It wouldn’t solve the problems in this country, but it sure would be a pleasant step in the re-unification of our country.

Remember, Gabbard did not vote to impeach President Trump. Instead, she voted “present.” That’s an ugly compromise considering the fact that the entire impeachment was a sham, but it’s a far cry better than supporting that unlawful bastardization of our government.

It turns out that Gabbard is less radical than her party on many occasions. In fact, she just put out a video where she acknowledges problems with ballot harvesting. If she was the face of the Democratic Party, Congress might actually be able to function.

When you watch this video, it’s ok to give into a small sliver of hope that the Democrats don’t always have to be dangerous radicals all the time. It’s not enough for major hope, but it’s a spot of light in the darkness. It’s also ok to remain skeptical that Gabbard will even be allowed to remain in her party.
